It does not require a leased line to provide different email ids to
people. All you require is a dial up connection from a Unix/Linux
machine. There's a email utility called fetchmail (or procmail) that
downloads mail from a mail server and using a script sorts out the mails
to individual mailboxes. For example, if your org has an account with
VSNL, say "try", with the email id as:

    try@nda.vsnl.net.in

you could give individual email ids of the form:

    try@nda.vsnl.net.in(username)

When fetchmail downloads the mail, it will look for username and direct
it to the individual local account according to the script. More on this
