Qwest:
    In the time it takes for a lightning to strike, Qwest can send every
book in the entire Library of Congress from coast to coast, flawlessly.

VSNL:
    Thanks to Mummy and Daddy in the Indian Government I will be able to
live long enough to do the same in about 10 years - of course, I can
always get an extension from my Mummy and Daddy.

Lockheed-Martin:
    We built the F-22 Raptor to be an Air Superiority Fighter in the
next century.  The first thing it will kill is the appetite for war.  It
has the first-look, first-kill capability and that means no fighter will
ever even get to see the Raptor.  Air dominance is vital to America's
position in the World and this is why we built the Raptor.  F-22 will
prevent battles from happening in the first place.  F-22 is our only
assurance of air dominance in the future.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL):
    My Mummy and Daddy in the Indian Government said that if I behave
properly for the next few years, I can go out and play with the big boys
and possibly build what they are building.

US Economy:
    The US has the most powerful, diverse, and technologically advanced
economy in
the world, with a per capita GDP of $28,600, the largest among major
industrial nations. In this market-oriented economy, private individuals
and business firms make most of the decisions, and government buys
needed goods and services predominantly in the private marketplace. US
business firms enjoy considerably greater flexibility than their
counterparts in Western Europe and Japan in decisions to expand capital
plant, lay off surplus workers, and develop new products. At the same
time, they face higher barriers to entry in their rivals' home markets
than the barriers to entry of foreign firms in US markets. In all
economic sectors, US firms are at or near the forefront in technological
advances, especially in computers, and medical, aerospace, and military
equipment.

Indian Economy:
    The Indian Government is the Mummy and Daddy of the Indian Economy.
It will ensure that each company is highly regulated and behaves
properly.  We will coach them well so that they will learn to beg for
FDI.  Bad "children" will be punished and obedient ones will become part
of the Government asset.  It encourages the Industry to stop complaining
about the restrictive practices of the Indian Government and start
cashing in on the FDI - why be a leader in the Global Economy when we
can beg from others.

    The founding Fathers of India have never envisioned a Government so
oppressive and self-serving.  For example, why is there such a high
license fee for Telecom. Services or even scheme to share revenue when
the Indian people have one of the lowest teledensity in the World - why
isn't the industry encouraged to setup Telecom. Services without any
license fees!!!

    There is nothing worst than an oppressive and impotent Government -
we should all be ashamed of it!!
