We need a law along the lines of the Interstate Commerce law in the US. It
basically says No taxes for commerce between 2 states. India also has
multiples sites for octroi taxes also. For example, if you want to bring
something into Pune for selling, the municipality will impose a tax on it.
These sites impose a transaction cost and create opportunities for
corruption.
