Re: Chimera of a Muslim Population Growth Rate

Please help make the Manifesto better, or accept it, and propagate it!

Dr. Rao's article is piece of junk. The His conclusion
is based upon extrapolation of data by some

"Bhatiya". If you the article carefully, you will find
this:

Hindu % growth Muslim % growth
1961-1971 23.71 30.85
1971-1981 24.71 30.20

Now the data from first two rows is extrapolated by
Bhatiya, to arrive at a conclusion that the decade
rate of growth will be 30.71 (Hindu) and 30.55
(Muslim), from 1981 to 2081.
The point to be noted is the above extrapolation is
already proved to be junk if you look at the census
data, for 1981-1991, which gives rate of 22.8 (Hindu)
and 32.8 (Muslim).

There is no point in arguing about calculated data
when you have measured data with you. Dr. Rao has
tried to bust the myth using 20 yr old data, while the
current data shows exactly opposite to what he wants
to prove.
Now, since the article is published in April 2000, I
wonder what can be the motive behind not using
1981-1991 census data in extrapolation?
