* I have incorporated the data supplied by Arvind into the calculation
on the "Theorem of Corruption." Even with this data, there seems to be
no way for any honest person to enter politics in India. I have
requested the webmaster of the Indian Parliament web site to find out
from experts in the Parliament whether there is any discrepancy in the
calculation. Also, I will remind the top notch economists of Indian
origin to hurry up with their comments. I would like all of us to first
of all prove that it is possible for a good man/woman to contest
elections in India. If it is not possible, then we should determine the
level of the variables which will ensure that.

* Arindam Roy is indeed with the TOI. I verified on the TOI web site and
have linked up two of his reports to the IPI web page at

Dear Arindam: Please help us all find out whether the "Theorem of
Corruption" is indeed true. The TOI might have specialists in this area
who could supply data and verify this information. If it is indeed found
that no honest man/woman can contest elections in India, then please
consider the possibility of filing a news item on this small but perhaps
important matter. But please wait till we complete the research,
jointly.

Thanks,

Sanjeev
